These orange cupcakes are really just white cupcakes with a delicate orange twist. Now here's where the fun comes in. The possibilities are of course, endless. These orange cupcakes are an easy one to make, you just need two bowls - one for dry ingredients and one for wet.
Instructions to make Orange cupcakes:
- Beat the butter until soft and light and creamy then add the sugar and mix well
- Break each egg into the butter & sugar mixture one at a time and beat well
- Add one cap vanilla esscense into the egg mixture beat well
- Sift self rising flour in a separate bowl and fold in the egg mixture and mix well
- Pour in milk and mix making sure the mixture is not to thick or weak if it is to thick add more milk if it is to weak add more flour
- Add in 4 caps of orange Esscense
- Mix well then line your cupcake/muffin tray with cupcake holders then pour mixture in and bake
- Poke a skewer in to see if its baked once baked take out of oven leave to cool down
- For the icing: mix wooden spoon butter till soft then pour orange food colouring (at the time of baking i only had blue food colouring to use)into the icing sugar mix well till the icing sugar turns orange in colour then sift in icing sugar into the butter and mix well add a tiny drop vanilla esscense and milk mix well then pipe your cupcakes and decorate as desired… Done!!!
